"Mother, father, I must inform
the two of you, I've done my chores.
My shoes are polished; they glint and shine.
I've cleaned the walls, mucked out the swine."
"Excellent, son," his dad exclaimed
Then patted his back like he'd won a game.
"We are now to issue you with a reward!"
"Was it that penny whistle I asked for?"
"Well, you're half there," his father said.
His son: "Is it a whistle?" then cocked his head.
"I've always wanted to make tunes with my feathered friends."
"No, son - we've purchased a penny-farthing to suit current trends."
